Hibs Community Foundation Christmas Lunch
We are thrilled to host our annual Christmas Meal once again, where we aim to provide 500 meals for people in our community on Christmas Day.
This long-running partnership between the Hibernian Community Foundation and Hibernian Football Club continues to bring warmth, kindness, and togetherness to the local community. For many, Christmas can be a difficult time, isolation or financial hardship can make the festive season particularly tough. Without this support, many would go without a warm meal or meaningful social contact at this time of year. The event will take place at the stadium, and we’ll also be delivering meals to around 100 people who are unable to attend in person. Every guest will also receive a gift, helping to spread some extra festive cheer.
Date: Thursday 25th December
Location: Level 2, Famous Five Stand, Easter Road Stadium, 12 Albion Place, Edinburgh, EH7 5QG
Time: 12-2pm
Registrations for the Christmas Lunch are now open, so if you know anyone who would benefit from this, you can nominate them to be part of the day by completing their details in the form linked here:
HIBERNIAN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION: CHRISTMAS MEAL NOMINATION FORM – Fill in form
This can be completed by the individual, or by someone on their behalf, and each form can be used for up to five people. Please share with anyone you think may benefit. Please use a new form for home deliveries if they are at different addresses.
Come and share a delicious meal, reconnect with familiar faces, and enjoy the spirit of Christmas together. All members of our community are welcome.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
LPS Christmas Fundraiser
We are always very grateful to our pupils and parents/carers who often wish to show their appreciation to staff at this time of year. As a Gold Rights Respecting school, we would like to encourage people to support UNICEF’s vital work for children all over the world, in place of cards or gifts.
UNICEF ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. In 190 countries and territories, UNICEF works to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
As a school that recognises and celebrates diversity, we know that many of our children may have benefitted themselves from UNICEF’s support, whether locally or internationally.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help to build a better word for every child.

School Street Reminder
Leith Primary School is part of the City of Edinburgh Council’s School Streets initiative which includes 14 primary schools across the City. This initiative prohibits most vehicular traffic moving within a zone set out by flashing signage. It is similar to the signs used for part time 20mph speed limits and these flash during specified time periods before and after school.
Permits are issued to residents to maintain access, Blue Badge holders and other permitted vehicles, such as emergency services, are exempt from the prohibition. These restrictions are enforceable by Police Scotland.
By limiting vehicle access at the school gates, it eases congestion, improves air quality and encourages active travel to and from school.
Blue Badge holders who are exempt from these restrictions, the message is, ‘drive courteously and give way to pedestrians and cyclists’.
Pedestrians and cyclists, the message is, ‘the road is not completely traffic free, so please be aware’.
We ask that anyone who uses St Andrew Place, the street in front of the school, whether pedestrian, cyclist or Blue Badge holder, to keep in mind our school values of kindness and responsibility during these busy times of the day.
Times of restriction: 8:20am to 9:00am and 2:50pm to 3:35pm Monday to Thursday and; 8:20am to 9:00am and 11:50am to 12:40pm Friday
Open Classrooms
A reminder to all parents and carers that our classrooms will be open again for you to visit on Thursday 11th December at 2.30pm. This time, there will be a festive theme.
