*Please remember that your children do not have to do all of these tasks, these are just suggested activities. Their well being is what is most important.*

This week and next week we will look at homophones for our spelling tasks as they are some of the most commonly misspelled words.

Spelling Tasks

Day 1:

  • talk to your family if you aren’t sure what the words mean, hopefully the pictures will help you
  • look at the words in the picture below and copy them out three times each using the ‘Look, Say, Cover, Write and Check‘ method

Day 2: choose 5 words and write a silly or sensible sentence with your chosen words- remember to use cursive handwriting OR your neatest handwriting

Day 3: choose another spelling activity from the task grid below

Extra practise: You can practise words from prior weeks OR identify other homophones
